Honda has some exciting environmentally savvy electrified vehicles in the works as it aims to expand its environmental portfolio.

The new dedicated hybrid model will be built in America and launch in the U.S. in 2018. It will be part of the Honda Electrification Initiative.

"Half of the all-new models Honda will launch in the United States in the coming two years will be electrified vehicles," said Takahiro Hachigo, President & CEO of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. "In the long term, electrified vehicles are key to the future of carbon-free mobility."

The Clarity Fuel Cell has arrived in the US as Honda continues its push towards reducing its carbon footprint. According to hondanews.com, “the Clarity Fuel Cell has the highest EPA driving range rating of any zero-emission vehicles in America, including fuel cell and battery electric vehicles, with a 366-mile rage rating and a fuel economy rating of 68 combined MPGe (miles per gallon of gasoline-equivalent).” It is the first of three Clarity vehicles that will be arriving in the US this year. 

There's a new vehicle making waves in the automotive industry, offering a new way to roll with an alternative fuel source that's completely emissions-free: it's the 2017 Honda Clarity hydrogen fuel cell car and it's sure to make every ride cleaner and more earth-friendly. Of course, as with the introduction of electric vehicles before it, there can be some confusion on how to refuel the Clarity.

The 2016 New York International Auto Show is now taking place in Manhattan at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
